New Kindle Paperwhite Canada comes with a 6.8-inch plastic E-ink screen that is glare-free. E-Ink display features adjustable warm light with 17 LEDs for easy reading in low light.

 Whispersync feature on Kindle Paperwhite allows users to switch between reading the e-book and listening audio book at any time – it will remember the last location listened to in your audiobooks or read in an e-book. It is easy on Paperwhite to go back and forth between reading and listening.

You need to have both versions of the book in your library, e-book, and audiobook if you wish to switch between listening and reading. If you already have an e-book that supports Whispersync in the library of your Kindle Paperwhite then you can purchase the audio version at a discounted price.

Kindle Paperwhite does not play music – it plays only audiobooks.

If you are planning to listen to audiobooks on your Kindle ebook reader, then it is better to purchase Paperwhite Signature Edition. Since audiobooks require much more space than e-books it is recommended to buy an ebook reader with more storage space. Paperwhite Signature comes with 32 GB storage space compared with the standard Kindle Paperwhite version which comes with 8 GB storage space.

Older generations of Kindle Paperwhite are not able to play audiobooks. In that case, in order to play audiobooks on ereader users need to buy an audio adapter. This additional piece of hardware is sold separately and it is available on Amazon online store. You need to plug an audio adapter in the headphone jack in order to hear the sound and voice of the narrator. Only older generations of Kindle Paperwhite have an audio jack. Since the new Kindle Paperwhite comes with Bluetooth audio feature, the device is wirelessly connected to earphones.
